All relatively early ones, " Tangled Up In Blue" pretty much sums us all up!! ⚽ Over the years I (sadly!) sold most of mine! First the vinyl, and then the cds. All I have left now is the superb 'Essential' double cd, and 'Blood On The Tracks' which is a gem in it's own right. I'd like to have them all back, but life doesn't work that way, does it?🤑
RDCW
17 hours ago, Sciatika said: I often feel that Leonard Cohen should have got that prize. For instance, I liked Dylan's "Just Like a Woman" until I heard Nina Simone's version with the twist at the end, turning it from a juvenile moan into a visceral piece about the female experience. But, for me, Dylan went downhill later on. Cohen seemed to maintain the quality of his material, writing about so many different things over the many phases of his career. Or maybe it's just that I relate to it better than I do Dylan. I have not thought about Kris in these terms. I shall have to have a listen. Good shout for Cohen; a genuinely original and bohemian intellectual, but why choose ? Dylan was summed up by Bowie: "Oh, hear this Robert Zimmerman I wrote a song for you About a strange young man called Dylan With a voice like sand and glue Some words had truthful vengeance That could pin us to the floor Brought a few more people on And put the fear in a whole lot more" All three of these guys were great poets. JaneB Posted Wednesday at 22:32 Author Share Posted Wednesday at 22:32 Goodness what awful news about Liam Payne of One Direction Fame. Being ‘famous’ is not all it’s cracked up to be especially when you don’t have the right people around you. Very sad.

It really is very sad, he's far too young for his life to end. 1 1
