Maybe once we’re knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday, Lampard won’t have to mess around with rotating the squad and will just play what he thinks is our strongest side for the remainder of the season. Surely he can cobble together an eleven to compete.

I don't know if whatever manager we want doesn't want to come until the summer or the board made that decision but it's probably for the best.

Nobody, not Pep or a prime Mourinho would be able to change this right now. Get through the season, reset and go again with a proper manager. The absolute priority now MUST be to get whoever the new man is as soon as this season has ended.

Agree.

His track record doesn't fill me with confidence.

“Enrique held talks with Chelsea via video call before travelling to London two days later with his son and his agent to meet with Todd Boehly.  Luis Enrique tried to convince him to take charge of the game against Real Madrid which is an exciting challenge him.

However, the day after his trip to London, Chelsea announced Lampard as coach until the end of the season and Luis Enrique's option vanished.  People close to him assure that this rejection was a disappointment for him, since "he was motivated" to face Madrid.”

Something is deeply wrong at this club,

It has to be the change in owners.

They were playing better under Potter.

Everything of "Chelsea" has been erased, from the medical team to the management team to the coaching team and the players cannot cope.

We have to get Mourinho in with Terry as his assistant and make them believe in themselves again

I dont care whether we win anything but at least those two will ensure standards are kept high.

This is beyond needing a DM and CF , Boehly has got the Midas touch in reverse, everything he touches turns to shit.

He need to appoint and f*ck off to America.

On the forum there are now fans seriously saying the way forward is with the likes of Sterling and Lukaku. Now, you are even prepared to take back a manger who you know is many years past his best.

Desperation and panic is setting in. Understandable, but it's the last thing we need to be doing when we are in big trouble.

The reason I'm saying it is at least we know what we're going to get, nobody knows what Nagelsmann or Enrique are going to bring to the table. With Mourinho you get hard work and teamwork if nothing else.

The stats are bad, but the gulf between the teams was worse.

The Brighton players take one or two touches of the ball and within a split second they know where they are going to pass or run with it. Our players take three or four touches and don't think as quickly.

Yep. I said it ages ago, we got a couple of wins under shit head and those fears went away, now they're back.

This is what happens when you bring in an interim who thinks winning the Champions League is going to salvage the wreck of his managerial career.

Brighton are a well coached football team and their manager clearly does the hard work out on the training ground.

They have several patterns of play, players know what positions to take up and how to move as a unit. Stuff like that doesn't happen by chance, it is months of work to get to that level and the players of course have to have the abilty on top of that.

People have been led to believe Potter was responsible for Brighton's style of play this season but De Zerbi is lightyears ahead of him as a coach.

Brighton were never this good under Potter. Considering how much they've kicked on this season, he was actually holding them back from their true potential.
