Hehe

What do the winners of the 2025 Conference League final get?

First and foremost, a very fetching trophy. There is also the not insignificant matter of a place in the League stage of the following season's UEFA Europa League for the winners if they have not qualified for the UEFA Champions League via their domestic competition.

we must first in some sort of qualification, or ?

We’ll have to win a play off match, let’s hope we don’t find a way of messing that up.

Gave up watching after about 20 minutes or so at 0-0..... seen that game too many times and it seemed obvious to an old grizzled football ex terrace veteran that it would turn out the way it did. Wasn't getting any pleasure from the game.

Never thought I'd see the day I turned off The Final.

The not given penalty shout right at the beginning was a good indication...there was VAR available wasn't there?

As mentioned before..the forensic  analysis seen this season in contrast to not even a second look as far as I could see....sigh.

That game has f***ked up my weekend!  Now we're in the European League One!  Enjoy our trips to places like Latvia and Lichenstein!

Me too but only on the  short term ....I feel being in the lesser competition is better for the very inexperienced Chelsea at Euro level.... a chastening experience against top quality sides if given tough draws would give litte opportunity to gain the experience they all need...

And the other positive is seeing the fat arsed Geordies stuck at home instead of fouling up Europe like they did in the Champions League.

Ah that's a good point. In the grander scheme we will probably end up with more chance of opening up the 5th CL spot this way.

Just realised we don't actually save on games in Conference League (6 games league phase) vs Europa (8 games league phase). Because Conference League has a 2 legged qualifier to negotiate. No team qualifies directly to the Conference League Phase and that explains why the group stage only has 6 games compared to the other competitions.

I honestly don't believe we will meet their FFP rules and will therefore not play.

You might be right, I’ve got a feeling we won’t be playing in this competition, but let’s see.
