CarefreeMuratcan
Arsenal fans are getting well sensitive about the praise Palmer is receiving. Don't worry Goons, Saka doesn't become worse just because Palmer is better. 1 hour ago, Lump Of Celery said: Bizarre seeing as he has only managed 2 starts! Or rather, the fact he only managed 2 starts is bizarre. Since it is player voted, it shows how highly his colleagues think of him. Think I read the Carsley saying Palmer might play Left Back 🥴 According to ScouseSports it was the players who voted…. The 22-year-old won the accolade ahead of Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham, with Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka in third. Voting was open to all England players who had played in 50 per cent or more senior fixtures between September 2023 and July 2024.
Sciatika
I love watching Palmer, but something about his style reminds me of a foal. It's like his legs are too long for his body.😀

I believe you have quoted the criteria for a player to be eligible to receive a vote in the competition. BBC, England Football and even The Official Chelsea release all say it was voted for by the public / England supporters - https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/cole-palmer-named-england-mens-player-of-the-year https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cvgl13ve0v2o

Popular Post chara Posted Wednesday at 18:07 Popular Post Share Posted Wednesday at 18:07 Just read this ......... Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola says Cole Palmer "lights up his eyes" and has urged him to target being one of the best players in the world. The 22-year-old has 28 goals and 16 assists since the start of last season, more than any other player in the Premier League, and is widely regarded as Chelsea's star player. When asked about the England international's form, Zola said: "I’m very impressed with Palmer because he’s doing amazing things and has been doing them for more than a season now. "He’s probably one of the players that has surprised me the most. I could see straight away that he had qualities, but I didn’t see all of this coming. "He has the ability to entertain. He always produces good passes and very good assists. What I love about him is when he receives the ball he is always looking up and many times he has the pass in mind before he receives the ball. This is a quality only the really big players have. I’m impressed. "In the last game, I saw a wonderful free kick from him, which is something that lights up my eyes all the time. "This is all down to him and the people who have coached and helped him. Now he needs to continue because he is becoming a sensatiion. Despite Palmer's outstanding form, Zola believes the England forward must not grow complacent but instead aim to become a world star. "You never settle for what you have achieved," Zola said. "The big players want to be the man of the match, then the player of the month, then the best in the year and then the best in the country and abroad. "You have to have this ambition, to get better all the time, because the demands of modern football are very high. "If you don’t have high motivation you can’t make it."

At least it will be deserved ,(,unlike the first coming of Sir JG) and hopefully short lived..remember the Media always returns to it's anti-Chelsea snidey default setting! 🤠 🤮🐀

I think the defeat to Greece after so many attacking players all got into the same starting XI for once could have been the start of this generation's "you can't play Lampard and Gerrard" tedium, hopefully Tuchel puts paid to that. You at least get the impression that Cole isn't the sort of personality to get too big-headed about all the attention.
chara
@thevelourfog Hmm....cynicism is a natural result as the years quietly add up !...and miserable is not a word I would associate with you and most on the forum!...committed, passionate over the top at times to a degree sometimes as we all can be🤠,,,.and keep up the training!!!!
