According to Klopp he’s leaving as he’s “running out of energy” so not illness.
Mark Kelly
Just waiting for the Cup final to be a "fitting tribute" to the greatest manager for the greatest club and and those wankers Chelsea are here too.
Blue Moon
Just thinking. Poch hasn't exactly been a howling success, and many here think it's time for a great manager who can take a failing side and turn it into a silk purse, as it were. And we do have 'istory" of recycling Spouse managers - think this guy ... Nice little break, then a new start next term. Thoughts?

Heck, should we even turn up for the League Cup Final? Is there any point, any chance we did have has just left the building. JaneB
You're all forgetting the most obvious candidate, SSG, or has he blotted his copybook with Liverpool supporters by going to Saudi Arabia? Don't recall him getting the abuse Jordan Henderson did. Can't wait for him to come back and fail miserably.
Blue Moon
Yup, @JaneB, can just see him slipping in via a side door. There'll be broad smiles in Everton, today ....
My Blood Is Blue
Bloody hell, it didn’t take Sky long did it! If we thought they got the ‘rub if the green’ before, it’s going to be painful to watch them play out the rest of the season, penalties handed out whenever required to get a Liverpool win. Surely, Xabi Alonso will be the next manager there.

blueandproud
I would love to see the odious John Aldridge miserable as sin after this news. The coverage has been sickening to the extreme. Let's hope the Liverpool of the 1990's return, when they became also-rans. Edited January 26 by blueandproud
chara
Am I the only person to be puzzled at the Earth Shattering news?... seems strange timing and reeks of a long inhouse debate and negotiations...tired?..of what?....high profile intense job I understand but his side kicks leaving as well? Again to me it seems as if a successor is all signed sealed and delivered,,with his (her😆)own sidemen. Jumped ? Pushed ? Nudged ?;;Lot more to this than meets the eye,me thinks....or maybe a kiss is just a kiss?
chrisb
In my humble opinion @chara it’s just typical Liverpool Media FC making sure the whole world and his dog know that St Jurgen is leaving at the end of the season to absolutely maximise their media coverage and allow for the now inevitable 4 months of media adoration for the outgoing messiah.* *My absolute hatred for them may be clouding my judgment somewhat though. 2

The £1.3 billion he spent was clearly only charges for the Asthma medication when that most virulent of diseases swept through the squad. A fantastic return for the one league title they won when nobody was allowed to scrutinise it. Edited January 27 by Mark Kelly 3
