Hopefully we can use this confidence in our own ability to play football, yes there were negatives, but they can wait, this game was a brilliant game full of quality from both sides. We were better on balance in my honest opinion and City were gifted one by Taylor (standard) and got incredibly lucky for their fourth. It really should have been a 4-3 win for us. And we should have won against Arsenal. We should have won against Liverpool. What really is undoing us this season is that bonafide goalscorer and experience in the side. Experience will come, hopefully a goal scorer will too. But this side is starting to develop into something really, really exciting. Lately we’ve been absolutely on fire. Sterling, Gallagher and Palmer was absolutely sublime in this game. Where is Nkunku going to play when he gets back? Instead of Jackson up front? But he’s slowly starting to come to life as well. At the moment we have at least Nkunku, Palmer, Sterling, Mudryk, Gallagher, Jackson for four positions in the current set-up 4231. Depth is good, it’s just that crazy goalscorer we are missing. Oh and I’m starting to form a real dislike for City. Not only am I 100% sure they are cheating the FFP and paying money under the table to players/agents/clubs, they are also cheaters out on the pitch. Their reaction to that penalty was disgusting, clearest penalty you’ll ever see yet they find something to argue about for 5 mins? Pep should be happy with that point. Leo Posted November 12, 2023 Share Posted November 12, 2023 That was the best mentality we've shown on the pitch for months, if not for over a year. Actually felt a connection with the players this game with the shift they put in. The press was phenomenal at times, Conor has come leaps and bounds since the start of the season.
