Chelsea Sack Graham Potter

And that's understandable.

I suppose I'm also at the point where I just don't care either, so as long as it's not Potter on the bench I'm pretty much okay with whoever seeing the season out.

My thinking too. The absolute last thing I wanted was Potter undertaking pre-season.

I feared Boehly-Clearlake would be too stubborn to sack him before the end of the season.

It just seemed to me he needed half a year off to vent and relax.

He is ready now to return to coaching it would have been a fairlytale if we could have signed him back now.

Again, I feel like Boehly could have recognised how likely Tuchel was to be stressed and give him some space at first.

I do see a slim chance of him returning in a few years.

If he does well at Bayern and doesn't blow up, cements his reputation as an absolutely top level coach.

Time may pass and Boehly might learn and Tuchel might become the standout option available.

With our setup in place there would be less pressure on the "collaboration" piece, and

Frankly I hope that will get less important to the new owners as time goes by.

They needed "collaboration" because they new absolutely nothing about football and needed Tuchel to explain why we can't play a 4-4-3 formation, why we shouldn't sign Ronaldo or Anthony Gordon.

Hopefully in a few years this will have changed and they can see the wood from the trees a bit, and our structure will be in place.

Right please can someone agree with this point because I think it's a good one.

There's a huge irony that Potter failed because we threw so many (young) players at him.

Many Chelsea fans had little sympathy that we had so many good players available.

But we do have far too many right now and our transfer strategy has not been great.

Can someone else get more out of these players? 100%.

But we need some experience and we need to target key positions like centre-forward.

Of course we need to let a lot of deadwood go in the process.

I just find it hugely ironic that Boehly didn't just buy Potter a centre-forward in January.

Instead loads of future young players that may be good for us long-term but cost Potter his job.

He loved Potter so much and he could have made life much easier for him.

That's not to excuse Potter, but if he was my man I would have done things very differently.

Ironically - Boehly's incompetence has partly led to Potter's quick demise.

Even if Potter hasn't helped himself either! LOL!

We get him signed up ready for the summer or we move on, simple as that.

Same applies for anyone really. We do not need to wait, we shouldn't wait and Bruno being put in temporary charge, whatever the club is saying publicly, says to me we won't wait.

I just wonder if Nagelsmann is identified as the standout candidate and he won't decide right away... then what happens?

Personally I'd be willing to wait on him - and if he goes to Madrid in summer instead try and get Ancelotti back.

Tubby comes tomorrow after we play his beloved dippers. He ticks all the boxes for an interim.
Also puts him back in the shop window.

Actually I think the beard did wonders for Potter and he would have never ever got the Chelsea job if not for it.

Genuinely think the beard earned him that 60 million contract.

No. Absolutely no. If I see him at SB tonight, he might be reported missing in the morning.

And in that time Enrique goes to PSG and Pochettino, I know you don't want him but humour me, goes back to Tottenham, Ancelotti goes to Brazil, Nagelsmann to Madrid and we are pretty screwed.

We have to act now, even if it means waiting for them to come in the summer, they need to be signed up and committed. If someone is not willing to come now or commit for the summer then we move on.

I don't think there is one single outstanding candidate, all the most likely ones are at a similar level and have their good and bad points. For me, the fact that it's not Potter is enough and anyone of the people we are linked with will get us back into the top 4 next season and we go from there.

I don't think this is a problem. We are in the CL Quarters with a quality squad that a quality manager could easily win the CL with. Whoever we go for will not say yes to Summer, but no to now. It's a free shot at the CL.

Oh, I agree, just making a point on if it was Nagelsmann who we really want and he doesn't want to come until the summer as he may fancy Madrid, we just say thanks, see you later and get someone else.

Bruno Saltor keeps banging about how difficult this sacking was for the players and Graham’s family.

If you see Bruno Salter tell him how difficult the last 5 months have been for me and my family. Poor Graham has a nice big pay off so he will get over it but will we?

Yeah I'm sure Graham's family must be devastated with the missus now free to go on the a spending spree at harrods and the kids getting PS5s and ipads all Gift wrapped by uncle Todd.

Football is the only job where you can be absolutely useless and walk away better off.

The only thing is he's literally JUST been fired. And apparently it was quite devastating and unexpected.

To ask him to commit right away - we might be able to give him a bit of space to consider...

IF we consider that he is the outstanding candidate - and I suspect the club will come to that conclusion.

All I can say to Mr Saltor is, keep that up mate and you'll be going down faster than a certain boxer with your namesake.

In fairness he's hardly likely to say Potter is a clown who should never had been hired in the first place !

The presser should have been cut short and he should have been escorted off the premises.
