On the subject of "aspiring to mediocrity" may I please take a quick straw poll?

Would you be happy going into this coming season with the above squad?

What goal posts have I moved?

I haven't and won't set any imaginary points targets or claimed any player should be doing anything specific.

Very favourable rum of games after City, and I'd rather play them early than later on, could and probably should win all 6 games. Getting off to a good start is going to be very important and we have the perfect opportunity to do that.

No contradiction here

You really are desperate aren't you?

Saying we have a run of games where we could and should win them all is quite clearly not the same as setting the team a points target to achieve over the course of a season.

No desperation on my behalf - I just say it as i see to the person rather than snide remarks about someone in a replies to other.

Better move on MT waiting to press the banned button on me

2 really annoying bits:

Sat Oct 19 Liverpool (Away)

Sat Oct 26 Newcastle United (Home)

Sat Nov 2 Manchester United (Away)

Sat Nov 9 Arsenal (Home)

AND

And this game weeks 35-37:

Sat May 3 Liverpool (Home)

Sat May 10 Newcastle United (Away)

Sun May 18 Manchester United (Home)

That's broadly speaking the reverse set of fixtures, tricky enough in isolation - put together and if you're not st your sharpish can get you not giving many points for a few weeks.

Boxing day derby with Fulham, brilliant 😁

At home first game, home Boxing Day (although the TV companies will undoubtedly do their very best to f*** that up for us) but away last game of the season.

So as the great man sang "two out of three ain't bad"

It's an interesting start. We actually struggled with most of those fixtures last season, and it'll be interesting to see how we have progressed.

The conference league semi finals falling before each of our final games in May could be an issue if we make it that far.

Petrovic, Sanchez, Bettinelli

James, Gusto

Chillwell, Cucurella

W Fofana, Disasi, Badiashile, Adarabioyo, Gilchrist

Lavia, Caicedo, Ugochukwu

Chukwuemeka, Casadei, Santos, Fernandez

Mudryk, Olise

Sterling, Palmer, Madueke

Jackson, Nkunku, Duran

You mentioned you accidentally left off Colwill. So assuming we add him, maybe loan Gilchrist, and sign a new keeper, I think that squad is capable of getting 4th.

However, that assumes we solve the problem with injuries. If our injuries are anything like last season AND we have European football, it could get very ugly very fast.

Same here (I really am an optimist) ... thought tickets were going to be electronic this year?

Yes, so did I! Was dreading it, as I am a bit challenged when it comes to some tech.
