Not sure where to post this but as it's partly about SFL I think here is appropriate.

I came across some old Chelsea Chelsea mags the other day from 2009 (supported by cfc.net).

Several familiar names from the past in there - Peter Sampson, Jez Walters, Rowan Farnham-Long, James Prescott, Ollie Scanlon  and Philip Rolfe (I'm sure the last two ring a bell?).

Also a Q and A session with SFL, including two from 'Jane B, West Sussex'.

Two memorable quotes from him: "I'd like to be Blues Boss" and "I don't have an interest in doing media work.  I'll leave that to others.  I admire people who do it very well, like Andy Gray at Sky, but I don't want to do that".

(Wry smile 😏)

So was that you?

Surprised you didn't invite him home.

That would have been weird 🤨

Anyway, it wasn’t ‘live’, we sent our questions in.

Still amazing as ever.

I love him but he didn't do anything remotely special in this game and they're playing Luxembourg.

Won more duels in that game than Enzo does in the average month. Nothing special indeed.

Almost as if both players are the polar opposite in their skillsets and role.

Even so, I'd bet on Enzo to do very well if Chelsea played Luxembourg.

Well yeah. I mean he's done well in World Cup matches that helped win his country a Word Cup, so...

A minute into the video, he tackles no 21 Sebastein Thill.

Midfield general for Stal Rzeszow

Yes, I had to look him and them up. They are in the Polish second division.

Let's be honest, Enzo wouldn't get near him Polish second division or not.

MAGNIFICENT Sciatika....  and a time when "foreign" players were Scottish Irish or Welsh!

Unless my OG memory has broken down... Paddy M , John Dempsey (A somewhat unsung but appreciated stalwart) Irish....Cookie,Eddie Mac Johnny Boyle Scottish..... memory again but can only recall a couple of Welsh "foreign" players from around earlier ttimes but need to think that through although somehow the brother of one of the "English" contingent was capped for Wales.

Did I get that all right?

John Boyle was definitely Scottish and Dempsey played for Ireland though I think he was born in Fulham. I don't remember much about him except that after he retired he became a mental health nurse. The main Welsh players in my memory were 10-15 years later with Thomas, Niedzswiecki (sp) and Joey Jones. Thomas and Jones played for Wrexham under John Neal. Thomas was later imprisoned for laundering  counterfeit money.
