I've been very out of the loop with the academy players so I sat down and watched the U21 and the U18s games this weekend. I chose a good weekend because they were both a lot of fun. Very impressed by the U21s especially. Kiano Dyer looked outstanding. I imagine he might've got on vs. Gent if we'd put the game to bed earlier. George & Samuels-Smith were also very good. I wouldn't be surprised to see Samuels-Smith in an early round of the FA Cup or a Conference League game. Vale & Matos looked more experienced, which they are. They should've had loans secured after being at Bristol Rovers and Huddersfield respectively last season secured but obviously missed out. In McNeilly, Morgan, Washington and Mhueka there's a handful of forwards with lots of strengths, as well as room for growth. In the 18s game Cardoso (scored a great solo goal) and Emenalo (yes, son of our former technical director) stood out to me. 3
